Collected Sounds Parlor Parties is an off-shoot of Collected Sounds the website. We host concerts in our home. We book traveling musicians (and some locals too) to play nice intimate shows. We cater mostly to the folk, pop crowd. These are pretty mellow shows, think ‘Listening Party’ more than ‘Punk Concert’.

I can fit about 30 people comfortably in my living room. I put out a jar for donations for the artist and they take 100% of that. I do supply some non-alcoholic beverages and some light muchies which people can help pay for if they wish.

This is a labor of love, I do not make a penny on it. I generally spend at least $100 on the food and bevvies and also treat the artists (and whomever they are touring with) dinner and/or breakfast while they stay here. So trust me, I do not make any money even if I do get some donations for food.

Lately I have been presenting some shows at a local bar here in Minneapolis called Restaurant Aura. So some of the shows listed here may take place there, but I will be sure to mart them as such.
